As an emerging artist of passion and vibrancy, Helen Luan pays a lot of attention in the details of her works, with themes of beauty and tranquility in every piece. Wondering between realism and expressionism, she had done a lot of experiments in combining real object with abstract forms in her recent art works. She focuses in combining traditional painting techniques with cotemporary creations and that gives her works very distinctive characters.

个人简历
唯美派画家栾海伦出生于北京。三岁跟随父亲开始学习中国国画, 5岁随胡考学习中国小写意人物, 同时拜中国篆刻大师王石川学习书法和篆刻。经胡考老师推荐跟随岭南画派大师关山月学习中国画 。在6-7岁时，在北京师范大学艺术系连续做了两次个人画展，并在同年以国画“我在月亮上荡秋千“ 在全国绘画比赛中获得金奖。之后又以老鹰和小鸡等儿童绘画作品获得北京市绘画比赛金奖。儿童时代曾得到小画家称号。17岁时进入中央美术学院，在中央美术学院陈列馆毕业创作展中以画作 “过滤系统“获得学校的毕业创作优秀奖。 毕业后成为职业艺术家，并兼职做摄影师和油画修复工作，以及19世纪欧洲油画绘画复制工作。曾参加国际绘画比赛获得美国总统特别奖。

Artist's statement：
The origin of my paintings is from my own fairy-tale like spiritual World! I use my eyes to see the world! I use my heart to hear, with my hands to reflect! I always wish I can go back to my childhood which has been a piece of lost paradise and search for the old capital Beijing - piece of land giving me warmth of sunshine and I grown up on.Innocence of childhood helped me to indulge in an atmosphere that I have a spiritual space to reveal the true world boldly and freely. I consider myself as expressionist painter strongly influenced by Romanticism.As an artist, I dreamed a lot, but every time when I wake up the truth always make me feel depression. I love to be supercilious but at same time I have great desire and passion toward life. Perhaps because of exposure to a big crowd, the instability of life, so I can not develop a feeling of the concept, or depression, or romantic, or indescribable, or nervousness, and many definitions. My understanding toward meaning of life will be reflected by my style of art language.Formation of personalized art painting language is archived through continuous learning and research, so I didn't spend much of my time on the uniqueness of the tools and materials. From my own research and understanding of art I created my personal brush stroke, I named the stroke as rotation.I believe painting is the essence of life in the universe and it has great potential for reflection.I tried painting traditional aesthetic concepts, with the enthusiasm to seek integration into the lives of modern people and try to understand the environment with people's mind.I just want to have a space to reveal the truth boldly, as I love the free air and the forever flying feeling. 我的绘画创作的本源来自于童话般自我世界！我用眼睛去观察这个世界！同我用我的心去听，用我的手去体现！我不失时机地想跑回已失落的那块童年乐土，追寻那片伴随我成长和着温煦阳光的北京古都。孩提时代的天真烂漫裸露着我的生命本体在我个人的绘画创作中让我沉醉在那个氛围之中我努力的只是想要有一个能够大胆吐露真情的空间我钟爱以及陶醉在我自己的自由自在的绘画空间里！ 我是一个偏向於感性实践浪漫主义和表现主义的画家我经常做梦！梦醒过后凉晒着我的真实，真实的我多了一些忧郁。为此，我更钟爱孤傲、冷僻却有着对生命的巨大渴望与热情。也许是因为置身茫茫人海中，生命的不稳定性，令我无法拟定一个感受的概念，或忧郁、或浪漫或不可名状，或神经质等诸多定义。我理解着的人生意义仅仅是想通过自己的语言得以充分的体现。绘画语言的形成正是通过不断的传扬表尽才得以实现的，因而我不去琢磨绘画工具材料的独特性，经过大量的绘画创作过程,我创作出我自己独特的笔触，我起名为（旋转）因为我相信绘画的精髓正在于它有着对宇宙生命进行观照的巨大潜能。我试图用绘画的传统审美的观念，溶入生命的热情去寻求对现代人们生活环境，心态的理解。我努力的只是想要有一个能够大胆吐露真情的空间，像我钟爱的自由空气，永远不愿落下的自由自在的我！艺术无国界不需要任何语言！
